Message from our PRINCIPAL
Hi I’m Jan Morey, the Principal at The Glenleighden School. It is my great privilege to welcome you to Glenleighden, Australia’s leading speech & language school.
For more than forty years The Glenleighden School has been the leader in enabling better outcomes for children P-12 with speech, language and communication needs.
At Glenleighden, we believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. This is why we work with each child individually, based on their unique strengths. Our goal is to ensure every child achieves their goals, enhances their relationships and can move forward with a life based on their own decisions and choices.
Glenleighden is the only school of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Our unique multidisciplinary approach has enabled more than a 1000 students over the years to access the Australian Curriculum and overcome barriers to learning. We have families who have relocated from around the world to join our supportive school community.
One of the many benefits of my role is sharing the joy of learning with our students and seeing their faces when they master something that they thought they could not achieve. We look forward to working with you to help your child find their voice.
School Level Team
Each level of the school comprises a team of professionals which include the following disciplines:
- speech language pathology
- occupational therapy
- music therapy
These professionals work with students every day as part of the team with support from school administration staff.

SALDA staff and volunteers support the operations and infrastructure of the school in the areas of Finance, ICT, Safety, Human Resources, Research, Advocacy, Marketing, Fundraising and Communications.
