E-services

To ensure all schools (including metropolitan, regional and rural) receive an equitable service, School Support Services utilises both face-to-face and e-services to enable access to the program.

All schools receive an initial visit face-to-face, as the teams regularly travel around Queensland. Additional services, such as the intensive support program, are delivered online for regional and rural schools. Schools are required to provide a computer or laptop with adequate internet connection to handle the software provided by School Support Services. The team is well equipped to troubleshoot with school staff prior to intensive support beginning, however there may be a need to engage with the school IT provider.

Current research supports the delivery of intensive support via videoconferencing and telehealth platforms. Outcomes are consistent whether the program is delivered face-to-face or via e-services.
